Police issue rogue drugs warning after man dies in West Yorkshire

After a man's death and the serious illness of two other people, police are warning about a "rogue" batch illegal drugs.

On Saturday, officers were called to a Batley address at Bradford Road. They found a dead man aged 40.

Two additional men were also found on the property and were taken to hospital, where they are now being treated.

According to West Yorkshire Police, the cause of death has not been determined.

Det Insp Simon Reddington stated that they are still trying to determine what happened and could not rule out the possibility that the tragic deaths and illnesses suffered by these men were caused by a possible rogue drug batch.

"This could include cannabis edible drugs.

"I urge people to think twice before using illegal substances. The dangers of drug use are well-known and all drugs present a risk.

"People who use drugs don't always know the ingredients, whereabouts they came from or what they're doing to them."

According to the force, anyone who feels unwell due to illegal drug use should seek immediate medical attention.
