The Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños, is progressing favorably after being successfully operated on last Saturday for a gallbladder condition, sources from his department have informed Efe.
Bolaños was admitted this weekend to a public hospital in Madrid for an ailment that he had been suffering from since April 29 and which has finally been diagnosed as biliary colic and cholecystitis, caused by stones in the gallbladder.
The hospital's medical team recommended a surgical intervention that took place on Saturday afternoon and which, according to sources from the Ministry of the Presidency, went well and without complications.
For the moment, the minister has canceled his entire agenda and will rejoin it according to the instructions of the doctors.
