Pro D2. Mercato: Drome Bastien Guillemin, ex FCG, signed in Montauban

From Tarn-et-Garonne to Tarn. Bastien Guillemin, 24 years old, 1.85m tall, and 90kg, will be making a short trip to New Jersey next summer in order to get a new jersey. Castres Olympique (Top 14) has seen two seasons, and US Montalbanaise will be welcoming the winger originally from Drome who was trained at FC Grenoble.

On Tuesday, the USM officially announced his club change. The USM ranked 8th at the 2021-2022 Pro D2 Championship. After a five-point delay, the DNACG (National Directorate of Control and Management Assistance) imposed a sanction.

Bastien Guillemin made a promising start in his career at FCG. He played 62 professional matches, including 13 in the Top 14, and scored 14 tries.

The 2020-2021 season began at the end in Grenoble, where the contract was in Pro D2. At that time, the player who could play both back and winger had decided to go for it on the upper floors. He has just finished a white season with two Champions Cup matches against Munster in the team of Pierre-Henry Broncan after a promising start (10 Top 14 matches, two tries and more in the Challenge Cup),

Even though he still had one year on his Castres contract, the Dauphinois decided that they would bounce back at Sapiac stadium. This was under the direction of David Gerard, who was joined by David Aucagne, a former Grenoblois. Bastien will thus cross paths with Rouge et Bleu in a few more months.
