Despite the multitude of causes, thousands of protestors were united against the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill, which they fear will limit their right to protest.

Many people were there for the first time since restrictions on gatherings were lifted following lockdown. They expressed concern that the new legislation would bring about new restrictions.

The slogan is "Kill the Bill".

Laura dressed up as Uma Thurman in the Quentin Tarantino movie Kill Bill. She travelled from Doncaster with Anne-Louise, her friend and NHS worker.

She stated that the bill violated her freedom of speech. It is against our democracy and human rights.
