Raj Kaushal, the husband of Mandira Bedi and a filmmaker, has passed away

We woke up this morning to the tragic news that Raj Kaushal, Mandira's husband and filmmaker, had died from cardiac arrest. He was the director of films such as Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi (1999), Shaadi Ka Ledoo (2004) and Anthony Kaun Hai (2006).

Mandira and Raj were married in 1999. In 2011, their first child, Vir, was born. The couple adopted a 4-year old girl last year and named her Tara Bedi Kaushal.

Many Bollywood stars took to social media in grief for Raj's death.

Riteish Deshmukh wrote, "Raj Kaushal is a man with a hearty smile, tight hug, and a story. I am deeply shocked and saddened to hear that he has passed away. My deepest sympathies to @mandybedi, his entire family. #heartbroken.

Manoj Bajpayee said, "No news is more shocking or tragic than losing our dear friend Raj Kaushal!! This loss will be difficult to accept. My friend, rest in peace.

Suniel Shetty wrote, "Another precious, lost life!" Raj Kaushal, Rest in Peace. You'll be greatly missed. We send you and your children lots of love @mandybedi

Arshad Warsi, who worked with Raj in Anthony Kaun Ha, posted the following: "Today, I lost a very dear buddy, my condolences go to his family. Raj Kaushal was a friend for many years. He enjoyed every moment of Raj's company. He was always smiling and always available if you needed him. I will miss you brother.

Neha Dhupia wrote on Twitter: "Raj, we took that picture to create more memories... can't imagine you arent with us anymore... Mandira, my strong, strong girl, I am at an impasse of words. My heart belongs to Vir & Tara... I am shaken and in shock as I write this - RIP Raj.
