Spanish and German passports are the strongest in Europe, allowing travelers access to 191 destinations without a prior visa, according to the latest results from Henley's Henley Passport Index.
Regarding the global scope, both passports occupy the third position with 191 points, one point for each destination to which you can travel without the need for a prior visa.
The first place is for Japan and Singapore, with free access to 193 destinations each, while South Korea occupy the second place, with access to 192 destinations. The rest of the countries in the 'top 10' are dominated by members of the European Union.
Thus, Finland, Italy and Luxembourg closely follow Spain and Germany in fourth place, with 190 destinations, and Denmark, the Netherlands, Sweden and Austria share fifth place, since their passport holders can travel to 189 destinations from everyone without the need for a visa.
In addition, the United Kingdom along with France, Ireland and Portugal are in sixth place, respectively. Outside of Europe, major countries such as the United States and Australia rank seventh and eighth jointly with other European countries, respectively.
Below the ranking, Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria are at the bottom of the index, as they can access fewer than 30 destinations worldwide without a visa.
