When is lovesickness worse: as a teenager or as an adult? In any case as an adult, because then the common goals and plans for the future are gone in one fell swoop. And you may have already started a family or set up a joint company. There's usually a lot more that breaks down.
Who comes to you for advice? Most of the time, people in their mid-20s come to me. And there is no upper limit. The oldest woman I had in counseling was 72 years old. Men now come just as often as women. Lovesickness and relationship problems are by no means women's issues.
