Reunion after ten years: George Clooney and Brad Pitt play in Thriller

More than ten years after their last project, Brad Pitt and George Clooney are again involved in a film. Clooney also knows why Pitt was signed for the thriller "Wolves". "He was the cheapest".

Hollywood superstars Brad Pitt and George Clooney seem to be hitting the ground running on their new movie together. Pitt, 59, and Clooney, 61, relaxed and laughed together in matching dark outfits while filming the thriller "Wolves".

The last collaboration between the two film icons was more than ten years ago. It was then that they appeared together in the TV movie "8" in 2012. They were last seen in cinemas in 2008 with "Burn after Reading". However, the "Ocean's" series is still particularly famous among their joint projects.

"Wolves" is written, directed and produced by director Jon Watts for Apple TV. The 41-year-old was most recently responsible for the recent "Spider-Man" film adaptations with Tom Holland as Spider Man. The Clooney/Pitt film tells the story of two crooks who normally work solo but are now tasked with working together on an assignment. Little else is known about the plot. In addition to Watts, the two Hollywood stars are also active as co-producers with their companies Smokehouse Pictures and Plan B Entertainment.

According to the US magazine "Deadline", the award for Apple does not automatically mean that the eagerly awaited film will only be released on the company's streaming portal. Instead, a conventional theatrical release should also be planned, for which the superstar duo Clooney Pitt is said to receive an eight-digit sum together. Clooney elaborated, "Apple approached me and Brad with a large sum of money. We felt that if they guaranteed us a theatrical release, we would give up some of it. They agreed."

In October 2021, Clooney joked on the People TV show about working with Pitt in the upcoming thriller: "Brad was obviously the cheapest actor available." The actor-director said of the 'Troy' star: "He's a friend of mine and we're having a really good time together. I'm really looking forward to it."
