On Tuesday, the SOC announced Matheo Triki as its 17th recruit. He was originally brought in to develop perhaps with the Espoirs (he signed an one-year hopeful contract). But who should follow the preparations with pros like Bastien Reymond and Revan Gautier to try to win his spot in the National?
He came from Nevers in Pro D2 where he was a big catch for SOC Fabient Wiz and the 2nd international U20 line. However, he did not have a match sheet in Pro D2. He was also trained in La Rochelle. Triki (1.94m,101kg) is a young international with Spain. He was the European B U20 champion in La Roja 2021 (he was captain), and scored one of two tries to win the final against Portugal (15-9).
