Saint-Martin-de-Seignanx: the Passem starts in Seignanx

The start of the Passem Race, which advocates the Gascon language, will be held at the bowling alley on Thursday, June 2. It will take place under the auspices of the Esquirot association. The launch will take place at 10 a.m. with classes and animation workshops being welcomed. At 11:30 AM, elected officials and organizers will speak. The speeches will be followed by performances by children from the bilingual stream.

A lunch will be served on-site by the parents' association at noon. Catering is available. You can also attend animations, including music, songs and dance, stilts, and even a small ball.

The Gascon warm up will take place at 1 p.m. and the bibs will be distributed. After that, the bilingual stream students will read the Passem message. It is then at 2 p.m. that the athletes will be able to set off brandishing the ligam (the relay) in the direction of Saint-Andre-de-Seignanx, for a course ending in Pau on June 5.

The next meeting will be held in Saint-Barthelemy at 8:30 p.m. In the church, there will be a free polyphonic concert by the group Arrenilhets. This is a group of five women who perform a variety of Gascony music.
