Rescuers from the Republican Security Company (CRS Alpes) in Modane and a doctor from Smur in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne carried out two minor interventions on Tuesday, July 5. They flew to Saint-Colomban-des-Villards where two mountaineers, a father and his son aged 64 and 33, were stuck under the Grand Moretan (2,775 meters).
The rescuers managed to get them out of their predicament and dropped them off at the village with the Modane air detachment helicopter. Peisey Nancroix was contacted by mountain rescue to assist a hiker aged 45 who had injured her ankle.
She was transferred to Bourg Saint-Maurice hospital.
