Savoy. Modane mountain rescue saves three hikers

Two hikers from the same group on a walk in the Rosuel valley in Peisey-Nancroix, this Wednesday July 6 at the end of the morning, were evacuated by the helicopter of the air detachment of the Modane gendarmerie with, on board, two rescuers from the CRS Alpes and a doctor from the Smur in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne. They were called to assist a 22-year old hiker who had sprained his ankle. The doctor approved the request of the patient to leave the item at his house for a visit in a medical clinic. Another 65-year old hiker from the same group requested his repatriation. The knee injury was obvious and he couldn't descend. He also had stiff legs.

The second intervention occurred near Montvalezan's Lac du Retour (2400m). A young man aged 21 was hiking with his parents when he was suddenly struck by a severe illness. He was unable to get up and was taken to the vehicle by his parents. After consulting a village doctor, he was able go back home.
