Saxony: 35,000 music-hungry fans celebrate at the "Highfield" festival

Großpösna (dpa/sn) - After a two-year Corona break, thousands of music fans flocked to the Highfield Festival at the Störmthaler See near Leipzig at the weekend. Many day tickets were still sold, so that the festival was ultimately sold out with around 35,000 visitors, spokeswoman Ruth Loesser said on Sunday. The visitors did not let the rain on Friday and Saturday spoil their mood. "Today the sun is shining and the beach is full of people."

Musicians and bands such as Sido, AnnenMayKantereit, Deichkind and Kummer created a great atmosphere at Lake Störmthal. The police drew a positive conclusion on Sunday: "We rarely had to intervene and only a few crimes such as theft and bodily harm were known." The festival should last until Monday night. In addition, performances by Joris, Clueso and Casper were also on the program, as well as an after-show party.
