Pirna/Dresden (dpa/sn) - The Dresden public prosecutor's office has brought charges against a 55-year-old man on charges of negligent homicide before the Pirna district court. The truck driver is said to have gotten stuck with his trailer on the trailer of a 45-year-old in mid-September on a motorway parking lot on the A17 in Bad Gottleuba-Berggiesshübel (Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district), the public prosecutor said on Tuesday. This is said to have been pulled in the direction of an adjacent articulated lorry.
The 45-year-old was between the trailers at the time, was trapped and fatally injured, it said. The accused then moved away from the scene of the accident, but was quickly located. The man admitted the crime and said he didn't notice the accident.
