Leipzig (dpa/sn) - The investigation into a murder of a young woman in 2020 in Leipzig has been completed. Accordingly, the public prosecutor's office has requested the implementation of a security procedure against an accused, as announced on Tuesday. The accused, who was 19 at the time of the crime, is accused of having killed a 25-year-old woman in the area of the railway tracks near Rosa-Luxemburg-Strasse in Leipzig on the night of March 14th to 15th, 2020 and of having committed manslaughter. The public prosecutor's office assumes that the alleged perpetrator committed the crime while incapacitated. He is currently in a psychiatric hospital.
The case against another suspect, who was 32 at the time of the crime, was dropped because, according to the information, participation in the crime could not be proven.
