Gardelegen (dpa/sa) - In Gardelegen, a 15-year-old is said to have stabbed a 17-year-old and inflicted life-threatening injuries on him. On Monday afternoon, a dispute between the young people is said to have occurred on a sports field in the Altmark district of Salzwedel, the police in Stendal said on Tuesday. In the further course, the 17-year-old is said to have put the younger man in a headlock. The 15-year-old then seriously injured him with an object. What he did, spokeswomen for the police and prosecutors did not want to say. The injured were taken to a hospital by rescue helicopter.
The responsible district court issued an arrest warrant against the 15-year-old on Tuesday afternoon. At the same time, it was decided that the youth could remain at large for the time being, and the arrest warrant was suspended.
