Wittenberg (dpa/sa) - An 18-year-old was allegedly injured by a 32-year-old in Wittenberg. Police and prosecutors are investigating on suspicion of attempted killing. For reasons that have not yet been clarified, there is said to have been a verbal argument between the two men on Saturday, as the police announced on Monday. The older man is said to have taken a "dangerous tool" from an apartment building and used it on the 18-year-old. The young man was injured in the hand area and had to be treated in a hospital.

The alleged murder weapon could be secured according to the information. The 32-year-old suspect was initially arrested but has since been released, a police spokesman said. The investigators initially gave no information about the background to the crime.
