Saxony-Anhalt: 20 cows gone astray in the dark

Kelbra (dpa/sa) - A herd of cows went on a trip in the dark on a country road between Kelbra and Tilleda (Mansfeld-Südharz district). A driver reported to the police around 11 p.m. on Saturday that around 20 animals were walking on the road. Officials secured the area and alerted the owner of the herd. He drove her back to the nearby paddock, police said on Sunday. It was initially unclear why the cows were able to escape.
