Saxony-Anhalt: 47-year-old stand-up paddler missing in Bergwitzsee near Kemberg

Kemberg (dpa/sa) - A 47-year-old stand-up paddler is missing after an accident in Bergwitzsee near Kemberg (Wittenberg district). Witnesses saw the man fall off his stand-up paddle board on Saturday afternoon and never reappear, police said on Sunday. Extensive search measures with a group of divers from the DLRG and forces from the fire brigade, police and water police remained unsuccessful until the evening hours. Two helicopters were also used. The search should continue on Sunday.
