Saxony-Anhalt: 61-year-old forklift driver dies in an accident at work

Schkopau (dpa/sa) - A 61-year-old forklift driver died in a work accident in Schkopau (Saalekreis). As the police announced on Tuesday, a forklift truck drove into another forklift truck on a company premises, which was standing at the time. The force of the impact caused the vehicle to overturn, including the driver. The 61-year-old died on Monday evening from his serious injuries at the scene of the accident. The 25-year-old suspected cause of the accident suffered a severe shock and was taken to a hospital. The State Office for Consumer Protection and the police are investigating the course of events.
