Saxony-Anhalt: 65-year-old robbed and seriously injured in Halle

Halle (dpa/sa) - In Halle, a 65-year-old was robbed and seriously injured. Three strangers had initially tried to snatch his backpack from the pensioner, the police said on Thursday. The 65-year-old fell while trying to prevent this. The perpetrators punched and kicked him and stole his mobile phone. When the victim called out for help, the strangers disappeared. The 65-year-old suffered serious injuries as a result of the attack on Wednesday evening and has to be treated as an inpatient in a hospital.
