Magdeburg (dpa/sa) - A car reported stolen in 2016 has now been recovered from the Elbe near Magdeburg. As the police announced on Tuesday, a boat angler with his echo sounder became aware of an unusual elevation at the bottom of the river and informed the water police and the waterways and shipping office. After sounding work, the wrecked car was taken out of the river by a workboat with an excavator. After the long time in the water, the vehicle only has scrap value, it said.
