Halle (dpa/sa) - One day before New Year's Eve, fireworks ignited in Saxony-Anhalt caused an accident and also a dispute. According to the police, a firecracker flew onto the balcony of an apartment in Raismesser Strasse in Eisleben (Mansfeld-Südharz) on Friday evening and detonated there. A tenant who was on the balcony was slightly injured, the police said on Saturday.
There was a physical altercation in downtown Halle (Saale) on Friday evening because of the burning of pyrotechnics: According to the police, several people lit fireworks there. Two men who were traveling with small children felt disturbed by this. They are said to have attacked one of the men lighting the firecracker and stole pyrotechnics from him. The attackers then fled. The police are investigating.
