Saxony-Anhalt: AfD parliamentary group in the future with dual leadership

Magdeburg (dpa/sa) - The AfD parliamentary group in the Saxony-Anhalt state parliament will in future be led by a dual leadership. In addition to the previous parliamentary group leader Oliver Kirchner, Ulrich Siegmund will perform the function on an equal footing, it said in a statement on Tuesday. A unanimous change in the statutes made dual leadership possible.

Tobias Rausch remains Parliamentary Managing Director. The first deputy group leader is Hans-Thomas Tillschneider, second is Gordon Köhler and third is Matthias Büttner from Staßfurt. Group leader Kirchner said he was convinced that the AfD could open up new sections of the population with the reorganization.
