Saxony-Anhalt: animal shelter and old cinema from Saxony-Anhalt at auction

Magdeburg/Leipzig (dpa/sa) - Seven objects from Saxony-Anhalt are to come under the hammer at an auction in Leipzig on December 2nd. The agency responsible for the auction announced on Friday that the highest minimum bid of two million euros was for a listed residential and commercial building in Halle. The predominantly rented corner house in the Klaustorvorstadt district is almost 120 years old. The building, which has parquet floors, double doors and lots of stucco, has been renovated and maintained since 1993, it said. It houses apartments, commercial units and a practice.

The former animal shelter in Salzwedel in the Altmark is also waiting for a new owner. At least 59,000 euros are due for the facility located outside of the city with a dog, cat and small animal house as well as a feed kitchen and office wing.

A bargain is a residential and commercial property in Schwanebeck (Harz district), which was once a cinema with a restaurant and for which there is a surcharge from 500 euros. According to the auction catalogue, the former Imperial Post Office in Radegast (Anhalt-Bitterfeld district) can be purchased for 995,000 euros. The building has been renovated since 2021 and is fully rented.
