Saxony-Anhalt: ARD wins ratings with Magdeburg's "Polizeiruf 110" thriller

Magdeburg/Berlin (dpa/sa) - With the crime series "Polizeiruf 110" the ARD secured the ratings victory on Sunday evening at prime time. At 8:15 p.m., 5.83 million viewers saw the Magdeburg episode "Black Box". This corresponds to a market share of 23.8 percent. Behind it was ZDF with the film “Inga Lindström: Familienfest in Sommerby” – 3.51 million (14.3 percent) wanted to see the repeat from 2019. RTL showed the US thriller "Die Hard 4.0" and recorded 1.5 million viewers (6.4 percent).

In the police call 110 "Black Box", chief inspector Doreen Brasch (Claudia Michelsen) uncovers a bizarre family history. Previously, a young man in a train compartment had killed a passenger who had boarded the train and was making loud and aggressive calls with an emergency hammer. The perpetrator confesses to the crime, but cannot explain it and does not remember it. It is Brasch's 15th case. At the same time, it was the last Sunday thriller first broadcast before the summer break.
