Hohe Börde (dpa/sa) - In Rottmersleben in the Börde district, a 41-year-old man is said to have tried to run over his former partner with a car. The 45-year-old survived the collision on Monday with serious injuries, as the police in Magdeburg announced on Tuesday. She was taken to a hospital and is not life-threatening.
The 41-year-old suspect has been arrested. The public prosecutor's office in Magdeburg has filed an application for arrest on suspicion of attempted manslaughter. This was issued by the district court of Haldensleben in the late afternoon, it said. The suspect was then taken to a correctional facility.
The investigations into the course of the crime and the background are still ongoing. Rottmersleben is a district of Hohe Börde.
