Eight women and one man went together on Saturday for Advent bathing in the two degrees cool water, as Eisperle Melanie Martin from the Hasselfelde ski club reported. You first had to look for an ice-free spot.
The ice beads and their male guest from the Magdeburger Eisröwern stayed in the water for about five minutes. Everything around was snow-covered – iron gels were created in bathing suits. Santa hats were among the accessories of the Advent bathing, as were the mulled wine and the cookies that followed.
According to Eisperle Melanie Martin, the ice pearls of the Hasselfelde ski club meet every week for a swim. To warm up, you walk together about one and a half kilometers to the Waldseebad and later walk back. It's about hardening and staying fit.
