Saxony-Anhalt: Death of 92-year-old in parking accident: Probably a "driving error"

Hohenmölsen (dpa/sa) - The police are assuming a "driving error" by the driver in Hohenmölsen (Burgenlandkreis), who drove into two passers-by when reversing out of a parking space on Thursday. A police spokeswoman said on Friday morning. A 92-year-old pedestrian was fatally injured in the accident. The woman died on the way to the hospital, a 77-year-old was seriously injured. When parking out on Thursday afternoon, the 85-year-old driver had covered several meters at high speed, it was said. The car came to a stop against the wall of a house. Four witnesses provided first aid at the scene of the accident. The first responders and the person who caused the accident were in shock and received medical care.
