The members of the Friends of Hessen Castle in the Harz receive the prize for the conversion and renovation of the so-called stone barn. After two years of construction, the ruin has become a culture barn with a multimedia experience center, it is said. The association received the demography award in the category "Use the opportunities of digitization". According to the ministry, the jury awarded the special "Health" prize to the Alzheimer's Society in Saxony-Anhalt. She had realized the project "A year in the bee garden".
The Saxony-Anhalt Demography Prize was awarded for the tenth time for the best ideas in dealing with demographic change. 126 applications were received, it said. A total of 10,000 euros in prize money will be awarded.
