Saxony-Anhalt: Directorate announces labor market data for December 2022

Halle (dpa/sa) - The regional directorate of the Federal Employment Agency informed on Tuesday (10.00 a.m.) about the situation on the labor market at the turn of the year. A seasonal increase in unemployment is expected in December 2022, a spokeswoman for the agency said. The reason for this is that some work outdoors was suspended due to the weather. Around 77,800 unemployed were registered in Saxony-Anhalt in mid-November. The unemployment rate was 7.1 percent in November. Experts see the lack of workers as one of the most urgent problems on the labor market. We are looking for specialists, but also employees for helper activities such as in construction or in care. The employment agencies recently offered around 21,600 jobs from almost all sectors.
