Saxony-Anhalt: drugs and cash confiscated in apartments

Halle (dpa/sa) - The police searched a total of five apartments in Halle and Teutschenthal. 90 grams of cannabis and small amounts of amphetamines, heroin and cocaine were discovered, a police spokesman said on Wednesday. Cash in the lower four-digit range was also confiscated. During the searches on Tuesday, the officers also found two knives, according to the information.

Eight men aged 19 to 38 and a 21-year-old were being investigated for violating the Narcotics Act. There were several decisions by the Halle District Court for the searches, it said. These concerned four apartments in the city of Halle and one apartment in Teuschenthal (Saalekreis).
