Saxony-Anhalt: Drunk drives into a tree and is seriously injured

Friedrichsbrunn (dpa/sa) - A drunk driver crashed his car into a tree between Bad Suderode and Friedrichsbrunn (Harz district) and was seriously injured. As the police announced on Wednesday, the 36-year-old had strayed off the road on Tuesday afternoon on the L239 and crashed into a tree. The seriously injured man was taken to hospital by paramedics. He was found to have a breath alcohol level of 1.56 per mille and ordered a blood test.
