Halle (dpa/sa) - The Moritzburg Art Museum will be exhibiting numerous ceramics by the artist Pablo Picasso from Sunday. The show "The Other Picasso: Back to the Origins" shows the works he created in the Madoura workshop in Vallauris, southern France, a spokeswoman for the museum said on Friday. In addition, there are "graphics and drawings that convey Picasso's lifelong return to his family origins, his unbreakable connection to the traditions of his native Spain and his inspiration from the ancient cultures of the Mediterranean region".
The show runs until mid-May. According to the museum, around 100 works from public and private collections in Spain will be presented. Picasso (1881-1973) is considered one of the most important modern artists.
