Saxony-Anhalt: fewer building permits in the first half of the year

Halle (dpa/sa) - In Saxony-Anhalt, fewer building permits were issued in the first half of the year than in the same period last year. A total of 2,362 permits for residential and non-residential construction projects were registered, 433 fewer than in the first six months of 2021, as the State Statistical Office announced on Monday in Halle. Although the number of building permits has fallen, seven percent or almost 3,000 more apartments have been approved for construction. According to the information, the plus was mainly based on an increase in new multi-family houses and residential homes by 53.9 percent.
