Sachau (dpa/sa) - The fire brigade rescued several pigs and horses from a burning barn in Sachau in the Altmark district of Salzwedel. According to the police, the fire broke out late on Saturday evening for reasons that have not yet been clarified. The straw stored in the barn burned. According to initial estimates, the property damage is around 60,000 euros. There were 49 emergency services with seven vehicles on site, it said. A road had to be closed while the fire was being put out.
