Aschersleben (dpa/sa) - A woman from Aschersleben (Salzlandkreis) has become a victim of fraud on the Internet. The police said on Sunday that there was damage of 36,000 euros. The victim came across an advertisement on Facebook. She was promised that she could make a significant profit with a deposit of 250 euros. After she entered her contact details on a website, she was contacted by an alleged broker, according to the police. This encouraged her to invest in crypto currencies. "The promised profit did not materialize," said the police.
