Saxony-Anhalt: full closure on the A9 between Weißenfels and Naumburg

Weißenfels (dpa/sa) - The A9 motorway is currently completely closed in both directions between the Weißenfels and Naumburg junctions due to an overturned truck. The truck was heading towards Munich when it tipped over at a construction site for reasons that are still unclear and crashed into the opposite lane, the police said. It was loaded with groceries, which are now scattered across the road, a police spokesman said. The salvage work would therefore probably continue for some time. According to current knowledge, the truck driver was able to leave his vehicle and was only slightly injured.
