Saxony-Anhalt: Haseloff sees dangers from the energy crisis not yet banned

Magdeburg (dpa/sa) - From the point of view of Saxony-Anhalt's Prime Minister Reiner Haseloff (CDU), it should be clear as soon as possible where exactly and to what extent the relief will arrive in view of the rise in energy prices. "It is also important for us as countries that we know specifically which companies are affected and which households are affected, so that we can position additional measures correctly," said Haseloff in the "Interview of the Week" by MDR Aktuell. It should not be funded twice on the one hand and nothing arrive on the other. The dangers for the domestic economy resulting from the energy crisis have not yet been averted.

The aid was promised and reflected in the federal budget. However, they are not yet actively reaching the people affected. "On the other hand, we don't see insolvencies, if they come, realized all at once. Instead, certain bills, certain increases are still pending on January 1st," said the Prime Minister. Energy suppliers have already made the first surcharges so that overloads do not occur too suddenly. "But we will only experience certain things in the first and second quarters. And that's why it's important that money reaches those who are particularly affected in the first days and weeks of the new year."
