Halle (dpa/sa) - In downtown Halle, a heavily drunk woman caused several accidents on Sunday evening. During her drive across the city center, she drove over a traffic island and crashed into a pedestrian traffic light at the Leipzig Tower, the police said on Monday. Several people were standing at the traffic light, it said. Nobody got hurt.
After driving through a pedestrian zone, she parked her car. According to the information, witnesses held the 35-year-old until the police arrived. A breath alcohol test showed a value of 2.4 per thousand. Several investigations had been initiated, it said.
