Klötze (dpa/sa) - A 71-year-old Kremser driver was seriously injured in an accident with a horse-drawn carriage. According to previous knowledge, the horses shied away from a previously unknown cause near Klötze (Altmarkkreis Salzwedel), as the police announced on Sunday. The Kremser then crashed into two boulders and tipped over. The 71-year-old driver got under the carriage in the accident on Saturday afternoon. He was freed by rescue workers. The man suffered head injuries and was taken to hospital in a rescue helicopter. The horses were unharmed. No passengers were in the car at the time of the accident, police said.
