Saxony-Anhalt: Interior Minister Zieschang honors firefighters

Magdeburg (dpa/sa) - Several comrades from Saxony-Anhalt have been honored for their merits, their commitment and their many years of service in the voluntary fire service. Interior Minister Tamara Zieschang (CDU) awarded five silver fire protection and civil protection decorations and ten fire brigade clips to the firefighters in Magdeburg on Saturday, the ministry announced. This increases the number of silver fire protection and disaster control decorations with ribbons this year to 22. In addition, five gold fire protection and disaster protection decorations with ribbons were also awarded in the past year, it said.
