Magdeburg (dpa/sa) - Paintings, sculptures, photographs and graphics: National and international artists as well as galleries and exhibition centers present themselves in Magdeburg at the "ART/MITTE" fair. After the opening on Thursday, more than 160 participants will show their art in the exhibition hall until Sunday. According to the organizers, the entire exhibition route is more than 500 meters long. There is also a separate area for young creative people - including awards for the two best young artists by a jury.
The "ART/MITTE" trade fair was held for the first time in 2015 on a much smaller scale in the Salbke water tower. In 2021, after moving to a cultural center and to the town hall, it was relocated to the Magdeburg Exhibition Centre. According to the organizers, more than 2,500 visitors came last year to attend the seventh edition of the fair. "KUNST/MITTE" was primarily designed as a sales platform, it said.
