Halle (dpa/sa) - In the process of an alleged contract killing of a 52-year-old in Halle-Neustadt, a verdict is expected to be pronounced on Friday (8.30 a.m.). A spokesman for the court said that the last day of the hearing at the regional court in Halle was still pending. The husband, his mistress and an acquaintance are charged with murder together.
When it comes to the motive, the investigators assume a relationship act. According to the indictment, the husband and lover instructed the third party to kill the wife in order to avoid lengthy divorce proceedings. The man then stabbed the woman. The defendants face life imprisonment if convicted.
