Bitterfeld-Wolfen (dpa/sa) - 110 lifeguards from six federal states want to compete in the Goitzschesee on Saturday (8 a.m.). A total of 20 teams in Bitterfeld-Wolfen are fighting for victory, as the German Life Saving Society (DLRG) announced. The home team is the DLRG Halle-Saalekreis. The defending champion is the DLRG Harsewinkel team from North Rhine-Westphalia.
The program includes five individual and three relay disciplines on the beach and in the lake. "Supreme discipline" is a triathlon consisting of swimming and races with a rescue kayak and rescue board.
