Saxony-Anhalt: Magdeburg Literature Weeks start for the 31st time

Magdeburg (dpa/sa) - In several places in the state capital, everything will revolve around books and the joy of reading in the next six weeks. After the start of the 31st Magdeburg Literature Weeks on Sunday, events such as readings, book presentations and discussion rounds are on the program until October 9 in the Literature House, the City Library and the Society House. The motto of this year's literature weeks is "The blue from the sky. What do we want to tell?"

According to the organizers, the focus is not only on different types and genres of literature, but also on different narrative perspectives. The aim is to examine the extent to which personal memories, experiences and perceptions influence storytelling. Since 2013, the annual final reading by Magdeburg's town clerk has also been part of the literature weeks. In 2022 this is the author Katja Hensel.

The organizers of the literature weeks are the Literaturhaus Magdeburg and the city's culture office.
