Magdeburg (dpa/sa) - The three-day travel fair "Tourisma
"The tourism industry, which was hit hard by the pandemic, has been on the road to recovery since spring 2022," said expotec Managing Director Frank Baumann. It is now about "being able to make the best offers to those who love to travel". According to the information, the fair recorded an increase in exhibitors for the international sector this year. Providers specializing in long-distance travel, for example for Africa, Canada or the South Seas, presented themselves more strongly. The focus is increasingly on customer-tailored trips outside of the catalogue, it said.
But German holiday regions such as the North Sea and Baltic Sea are not neglected either. Again, lovers of active holidays would be addressed, who like to travel in a mobile home or make themselves comfortable on campsites. There are also providers for film, literature and special garden trips in the Magdeburg exhibition halls, it said.
