Saxony-Anhalt: Man dies in a rear-end collision on the B81

Sülzetal (dpa/sa) - A man from the Börde district died on Thursday in a traffic accident on the B81 near the municipality of Sülzetal. The driver of a pickup truck drove into a stationary semi-trailer without braking, the police said. The force of the impact trapped the 36-year-old in his van. Firefighters rescued him dead. The driver of the truck, who had stopped due to a technical defect, was not injured, according to the police.
