Magdeburg (dpa/sa) - Saxony-Anhalt advertises with a podcast for new teachers. Six episodes were produced for the first season of "Weltenretter - Mission Lehrkraft", which would be made available on the usual podcast channels at regular intervals until the winter holidays in February, the Ministry of Education in Magdeburg announced. The first episode is scheduled to start this Monday.
The moderators are newly qualified secondary school teacher Leo and primary school teacher Julia. Both report on their own experiences and talk to guests. For example, you invited a student teacher in her first semester to talk about her motivation. However, the moderators also take into account newcomers.
As in other federal states, there is a shortage of teachers in Saxony-Anhalt. With the campaign "Weltenretter" ("Save a piece of the world every day as a teacher in Saxony-Anhalt"), the state is recruiting prospective and qualified teachers.
