"In the new year we are also looking intensively for people who want to enrich their own life and that of the students in Saxony-Anhalt - by changing to the teaching profession," said Feußner. Like other federal states, Saxony-Anhalt has a serious shortage of teachers. According to the Ministry of Education, the so-called teaching coverage was recently 92 percent and thus lower than ever before. The aim of the black-red-yellow coalition is 103 percent teaching coverage, for example to be able to cover failures.
